Data (after)Lives: The Persistence of Encoded Identity
The opening of the first US exhibition of "Strange Beauty: Radiography from Fukushima" will take place the evening of March 15th in the Frick Fine Arts Building. A reception with light food and drink will take place in the Cloister between 5 and 6 pm, followed by a panel discussion in the auditorium.
The University Art Gallery will host a lecture and demonstration featuring Staycee Pearl, artistic director and founder of Staycee Pearl Dance Project in collaboration with her partner Herman Pearl.
The University Art Gallery on the Oakland campus will present “Exposure: Black Voices in the Arts”, a student-curated exhibition that celebrates the artwork of local Black artists. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
