Whether you are constructing an exam for the first time, or trying to structure a term paper assignment such that students can be successful at it, creating assignments that effectively assess student learning in your classroom can be a challenge.  In this workshop, we discuss which types of assessment are most useful for gauging different types of learning.

Practical tips and "hands-on" exercises about test and quiz construction, writing assignments, and informal student assessments are provided.

Attendees will leave the workshop with a deeper knowledge of the logic of various types of assessment, as well as how to best implement them in their classrooms.
