Jacqueline Lombard

Jackie Lombard joined the department in 2015 after completing her bachelors in Studio Art with a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. She specializes in European medieval art, with a particular focus in art objects as products or conduits of cross cultural exchange between Europe, Byzantium, and the Middle East. She is also interested in ideas of agency and identity in the Middle Ages, and is currently writing her masters thesis on the sculpture of the African Maurice in Magdeburg Cathedral.
