Sarah came to the History of Art and Architecture Department in 2015. Her primary area of interest is medieval European art and architecture. Her research explores identity and ritual in late medieval Germany. She currently works on churches and chapels built for the veneration of Holy Blood, an interest which was born from her undergraduate honors thesis on a church and oratory constructed for a thorn from Christ’s Crown of Thorns.
